Train travel

There are two types of trains in Italy. Those that require a
reservation (as much as 15€ for high speed) and those that do not.
But the difference in quality between the two is stark. The former
being much cleaner and more comfortable, with a dedicated bar cart for
eating and drinking. The latter, of which I am sitting on right now is
much more akin to public transportation. Dirty, worn, and no frills.
As we were heading to Florence this morning, in a high speed train
that cost a 15€ reservation fee, I was saying how if we had trains
back home it would be a great way to travel. Now, having travelled
most of a 4-hour trip from Pisa to Milan, I'm not so sure.
